Neve Michael is not an institution. It is a residential home for children at risk – a warm and caring environment for over 300 children aged three to eighteen who cannot stay with their biological families. Our children come from all over Israel. They are the victims of neglect, physical and sexual abuse, and many have been witness to acts of violence.
At Neve Michael, our children can grow, learn, and enjoy better, happier and healthier lives.
All the children are raised in family units by a married couple with their own children. Everyone lives together in a loving family atmosphere. Siblings can stay together. The on-the-premises elementary school, under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, allows local and Neve Michael children to learn together. There is even a special class for youngsters who find attending school difficult.
Special day care facilities are available until 7 pm.
The National Crisis Center for children at risk opened in August 2000. The center takes in little ones at a moment’s notice and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, every day of the year.
Like flowers, children need to be nurtured to grow straight and tall. We at Neve Michael are dedicated to doing just that..
And we serve the best chicken soup in all Israel!

Eran’s mother died suddenly. He badly needs therapy (and a friend). Sarit wants to go to art classes. Maor can’t handle regular classes. He needs a private teacher. All our girls would love a special dress for Shabbat.
Although we are blessed with a dedicated staff who provide plenty of hugs and individual attention, they can only do so much. In order to give our children a lovelier world and the quality of life they deserve, we need you to help fund the extras:

- One-on-one therapy
- Trips
- Everyday and Shabbat clothing
- Pajamas and blankets
- Books and games
- Renovating older dormitory buildings
- A special toy each child can call his own
